I have always loved paintings of interiors, which are often quiet, calm glimpses into a person's or a family's life. I become fascinated with small corners of my house, and I use these spaces and objects as a vehicle to play with light and shadow, angles and planes, and, of course, colour. The goal is not realism; it is to create a mood.
J'adore les intérieurs, qui sont souvent des images tranquilles d'une vie privée. J'ai dévelopé une fascination pour les petits racoins chez nous, dont je me sers pour jouer avec la couleur, les formes et la lumière. Le but n'est pas de faire une peinture réaliste, mais de créer un atmosphère.
